What do you make?

Embroidered towels. We also steal the honey from the 
bees

How did you get started? Who inspired you?

Saw displays at the MN State Fair for embroidery and bees in the Horticulture Building

What is your favorite part of what you do?

Helping customers find the right honey or salve.

Tell us about a day in the life of making what you do?

We bottle honey every Monday and Wednesday. Tuesdays we make our world famous cinnamon creamed honey. Salves, lotion, deodorant are made in our spare time.  Farmers markets on Wednesday, Thursday, Saturday and Sundays. Work with the bees every Saturday and Sunday. Honey Sticks is our winter work. Embroidery picks up in the evenings once the sun sets a little earlier and throughout the winter months.

What do you enjoy doing when you are not busy making?

Working in our 15 gardens and time with our children and grandchildren and the BWCA.
